What is a charity membership?
A charity membership is different from the ordinary library membership, which you use to borrow books or use library computer facilities.
Becoming a charity member is a great way of supporting our work. Your yearly membership fee goes towards keeping the library open and will help us pay essential bills such as heating and lighting, and also keeping the library clean and welcoming for all.
As a member of the charity, you will be entitled to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and also stand as a Trustee if you wish to do so.
Is there a charge to become a charity member?
Charity membership fees are as follows:
- Individual Membership – £10 per year
- Family Membership (2 adults and 2 children) – £12 per year
- Child Membership – £2 per year
To become a member of the Taibach Community Library charity:
- Sign up online and pay by Direct Debit at CAF Donate
Please note that donations taken by us by Direct Debit will appear on your statement as ‘Charity Donation – Charity Aid Foundation’, as we are using the Charity Aid Foundation (CAF) to process your Direct Debit on our behalf.
- Call in to the Library during opening hours to fill in a membership application form
To renew a charity membership:
- Sign up to change your membership to a Direct Debit by visiting CAF Donate
Please note that donations taken by us by Direct Debit will appear on your statement as ‘Charity Donation – Charity Aid Foundation’, as we are using the Charity Aid Foundation (CAF) to process your Direct Debit on our behalf.
Going forward, your Direct Debit fee will be taken annually by CAF Donate on our behalf.
