Charity Membership

A charity membership is different from the ordinary library membership, which you use to borrow books or use library computer facilities.

Taibach Community Library is a registered charity in England & Wales. Our registered charity number is 1158698. You can verify our charitable status by searching the Charity Commission database.

Charity membership costs £10 per year for an individual membership or £12 per year for a family membership (2 adults + 2 children under 16).

Becoming a charity member is a great way of supporting the charity’s work. Your yearly membership fee goes towards keeping the library open and will help us pay essential bills such as heating and lighting, and also keeping the library clean and welcoming for all.

As a member of the charity, you will be entitled to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and also stand as a Trustee if you wish to do so.

To become a member of the Taibach Community Library charity:

  • Apply online and then either bring your membership fee to the library or post a cheque to us
  • Fill in a copy of our Membership Application Form and hand it in along with your membership fee (cash, cheque, card payment or standing order) at the library
  • Print out our Membership Application Form and post it to Taibach Community Library, 5 Commercial Road, Taibach, Port Talbot, SA13 1LN (Please note only Cheques can be accepted via post)
