Starting Monday 10th June 2024, there will be some adjustments to the library’s opening hours. This decision comes after careful consideration due to rising energy costs, lower than expected visitor numbers on Saturdays, and a volunteer shortage.

We are sad to say that the library will no longer be open on Saturdays. We’ve made a genuine effort to make Saturdays work, but unfortunately, haven’t seen the level of footfall we’d hoped for.

The good news is, weekday hours are being extended! From June 10th onwards, the new opening hours will be:

Monday: 10:00 – 15:45
Tuesday: 10:00 – 15:45
Thursday: 10:00 – 15:45

We will review the changes to our opening hours at our next quarterly trustee meeting. Any further adjustments will be announced through our usual channels.

We want to emphasise the importance of community support. The message for those who don’t currently use the library is clear: Use it or lose it! Your visits are vital to keeping this valuable resource open.
